Publikacja jest pierwszą częścią Sonat Georga Friedricha Haendla HWV 361, 368 i 370. Utwory skomponowane są na trio: skrzypce, fortepian i wiolonczelę realizującą partię basu cyfrowanego. Wszelkie uwagi dotyczące wykonawstwa zostały dodane we wstępie przez edytorów - Walthera Davissona i Günthera Ramina.

The primary object of this edition is to present a clear and uthentic version of Handel's Sonatas for violin and figured bass. The present unembellished realisation of the harmony should prove sufficient for an intelligible and lucid performance. This arrangement has been written for the cembalo, when performed on the pianoforte a discreet octave doubling of the bass is recommended (especially in the slow introductory or middle movements) so that its quality is comparable with the 16ft. tone of the cembalo.
In order that the performance may be made true to style, with a cello doubling the continuo bass line, a separate cello part has been added; it should be noted however that this part must not be prominent or in any way soloistic.
